Terms of Use

By using Daytoon you accept these terms. We have tried to keep them short; if something isn't clear, write to us and we'll explain it.
The service
Daytoon is a mobile app that turns the diary text you write into a comic using AI. You can produce one trial story without signing up; after that an account is required.
Your account
- You are responsible for the accuracy of what you tell us and for the security of your account.
- You may not use Daytoon if you are under 13.
- You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. Deletion is permanent.
What you write is yours
Your diary text is yours. The rights in the comics that get made are yours too; you may use them personally and commercially. The only licence you give us is the one needed to run the service: to process your text, generate the images, store them and show them to you. We will not use your content in marketing, and we will not publish it anywhere without asking you separately and explicitly.
AI output
- The images are generated automatically and will not always be perfect: a wrong detail, a mis-set letter or a scene other than the one you pictured can come out. You can correct a panel's text and have the page redrawn.
- The drawing provider's own safety filters may refuse some input. When that happens no story is produced, and what you wrote is not lost.
- We cannot guarantee that generated images are unique. The same description may produce a similar result for another user.
Unacceptable use
You may not use Daytoon to:
- produce unlawful content;
- upload photos of people who have not consented as characters;
- produce content that harasses or defames someone, or depicts them falsely;
- overload the service with automated tools, work around the quotas, or abuse the invite system with fake accounts.
If we find these rules have been broken we may suspend or close the account.
Quotas
Every drawing carries a real processing cost, so plans are limited by stories per week and pages per story. You can always see your remaining allowance in the app. The window rolls: the stories you made in the last seven days are what count.
Subscription and payment
- Paid plans are monthly subscriptions bought through the App Store or Google Play. Billing and renewal are handled by that store; we never see your card details.
- Unless cancelled, a subscription renews automatically at the end of each period.
- Cancellations and refunds go through the account settings of the store you bought from, under that store's refund policy.
- When you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period; after that you return to the free plan. Your stories remain.
- We may change prices; a change applies to an existing subscription only after notice has been given.
Share links
If you choose to share a story, anyone holding the link can read it. You can close the link at any time, but we cannot recall a copy downloaded before you did. What you share is your decision.
Availability
Daytoon is provided "as is". We cannot promise it will run without interruption or error; outages at third-party providers can affect the service. To the extent the applicable law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages. This does not remove the statutory rights you have as a consumer.
We are careful with your data, but we recommend keeping your own backup of anything you value. The "download my data" export is there for that.
Changes
If we update these terms we will change the date above. We will tell you in the app when a change is significant.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye.
